This year we planted Rye. We have used the no till and rolled over rye methods with success.
Experiments with Winter Cover Crops:
2017 Corn & Soybean Harvest:
This year we anticipate somewhat more corn and soybeans than we had hoped for. We have now begun the harvest season.
Since we feed non GMO to our hogs, we know exactly what goes into the pork we provide our customers.
We have pork in all sizes, some ready for slaughter (starting at 250 lb). Here are just a few photos of life on the Trew Farm: from a pig's point of view. Our pork would taste great on your dinner table! They are fed Non Genetically Modified feed. Please call and reserve yours today.
Bill is now participating in several local Farmers Markets where you can purchase choice cuts of pork, lamb, and soon goat. He also has produced vegetables which are green beans, pickling cucumbers, various heritage tomatoes, okra, and other great delights. Our growing season is almost over but he still has some some beets and carrots. Please drop by one of the markets to visit with him. The Ooltewah Nursery market is open year round with winter hours 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Other markets will open again beginning in early Spring through late Fall each year. Please contact Bill at 423-593-9885 for more details about the markets.
We won't tell him if you don't.....
